I primarily serve the Laurelhurst, North Tabor, and Hollywood neighborhoods in Portland.
Reiann’s Reliable Pet Care was started with the goal of providing individualized care in my local neighborhoods, focused on quality of care over quantity. I’d love to be thought of a helpful resource in my community!
If you live outside these areas and are interested in my services, feel free to reach out and I am happy to discuss availability on a case by case basis.

No, I do not board dogs in my home. I offer overnight care, but all visits take place in the home of the animal. This prevents causing unnecessary stress in the animal.
The responsibility of being in someone’s home is taken very seriously. Any important household details, including access (keys, entry codes, gates, etc.) are discussed prior to the first visit.

To request a service, please reach out using the information provided on the Contact page . In your message, include the date, time, type of service, and any helpful details about your pet.
Before scheduling a first service, I will set up a brief meet & greet to get acquainted with you and your pet, review routines and care needs, and make sure we are a good fit. This meeting typically occurs at the pet’s home, but I can often accommodate a virtual consultation if needed.

I work with dogs and cats most commonly, but feel comfortable with other pets as well. I have personal experience caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and reptiles.
Send me a message using the Contact page if have questions or would like to schedule care.
Highlight: I am very comfortable working around rabbits. I’ve had my own pet rabbit, but also volunteer with Rabbit Advocates, a local non-profit dedicated to the welfare of domesticated rabbits. Shoot me a message if you are looking for care for a pet bunny.

Yes! I carry professional pet sitter insurance that covers your pet, your home, and myself during scheduled care. If you have any questions about coverage, I am happy to talk through them.

Each dog walk visit is a minimum of 30 minutes, starting at the time I enter the home until the time I leave. I am happy to make sure they have fresh water, offer a treat, or give your dog a quick brush if desired. My hope is to respect the routine of the animal and owner as much as possible, while also seeking opportunities for enrichment and mental stimulation. Following the visit, I’ll provided a written update with pictures, letting you know how the walk went.
Additionally, as an added perk for homes with cats, I offer to scoop litter boxes before leaving the home.

Overnight visits are 12 hours, typically from 8pm to 8am. These visits include walks or potty breaks, feeding, and general care during those hours. I also provide all-day care or multiple day care, where services are customized based on your needs.
I limit the amount of time away from the pets during all extended visits, notifying the owner in advance if absences greater than 4 hours are expected. Maintaining your pet’s routine, reducing stress, and making sure they are happy and engaged is always a priority.
-
This depends on the type of service and the needs of each pet. I limit the number of pets I care for at one time to make sure everyone receives proper attention and care.
I often care for multiple pets when they are from the same household. An additional fee may apply for households with multiple pets, depending on the type of service, the number and type of animals, and their individual needs.
For safety reasons, I do not provide services for pets from different households during the same visit unless it has been arranged in advance by all pet owners and the animals are already familiar with one another.
-
Yes, I can administer basic medications as long as clear instructions are provided.
-
Your pet’s health and wellbeing is a top priority. If a pet becomes ill or injured while in my care, I will contact you immediately and follow any emergency instructions provided. If necessary, I will seek veterinary care at your preferred clinic or the nearest available emergency vet.

No cancellation fee is charged in most cases. There is a 25% cancellation fee charges for overnight and multi-day care with notice less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled visit.
I understand plans change. Please give as much notice as possible so I can adjust my schedule.
